But counselors aren’t born. They’re molded, in a process that’s rarely simple, fast, cheap, or scalable.
The problem lies in practical training. While you can lecture arbitrarily many students at once, you can’t so easily provide each student with the interactive, hands-on training that’s both essential to learning and required by accrediting bodies.
Actor fees, faculty availability, and logistical constraints make roleplay difficult, costly, and quite frankly, clunky—limiting how many counselors programs can afford to produce.
